I am a Romanian living and working in Switzerland.

My interests vary from academic to industry work. I am an open-minded and overall thinker that particularly enjoys collaborative work, especially when it involves motivated people.

I pursued my PhD in distributed systems at the University of Neuch√Ętel, under the guidance of Prof. Peter Kropf. My research activities have been focused on peer-to-peer systems, mainly on load balancing, fault tolerance, routing strategies and gossip-based networking. Prior to that, I obtained my Masters degree in computer science from the Politehnica University of Bucharest in Romania.

I love hiking, cycling, dancing, badminton, tennis, ski/snowboard, in no particular order.

My work so far has been mostly related to networking, distributed systems, document management and usability.

I am currently working at Assentis Technologies A.G. as a release manager and overall usability engineer. I am involved in the growth, improvement and renew of the DocFamily suite of software products, while leading both internal and external teams.

Apart from my work, after finishing my PhD I have collaborated with the Innovation in Intelligent Multimedia Sensor Networks competence center at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences for the following projects: TAUPE EC FP7 - Transmissions in Aircraft on Unique Path wirEs, SPAWN - Smart PortAble Wireless mesh Node, and CoopCOMM - Cooperative Communication, in a group lead by Prof. Ulrich Dersch.
On an irregular basis, I have been engaged in the research performed by the Distributed Systems department of the University of Neuch√Ętel.
